Simone & Ajax #3 Almost Done!!!

Hi! Another quick update: I've now finished pencilling #3! And there's a small preview below. I can't show you too much, since I don't want to give away the story before you get a chance to read it properly... which will be soon! With all 24 pages pencilled, 19 inked and lettered (and the remaining 5 letters/inks in the works), and 15 colored, it won't be long before you have it digitally. I'll keep you posted!
In a recent update I suggested a couple active Kickstarters to check out, and this time I have another:
The Dusk by Alex Segura, Elizabeth Little, and David Hahn. It's a superhero tale, kind of like Batman, but with a new twist. I've known Alex and David for many years, so I might be prejudiced, but I backed it. They can tell you about it a lot better than I can at https://bit.ly/theDUSK.
Speaking of those other Kickstarters, The God Machine has only a couple days to go and is SO close to meeting it goal. Hopefully you can help it get there at thegodmachine.org
I'll be back soon with another update! And hopefully the digital #3! Thanks for your patience and support!
Adventurously Yours, Andrew

Hi, everyone!
We've had a sudden cold snap this week here in Chicago, so I'm staying in and working hard on Simone & Ajax. You can get a little peek at some perilous pencils at the bottom of this update.
But as much as I like making fun comics on Kickstarter, I love backing fun comics here, too, and want to see great projects meet their goals and happen. I've backed over 100 comics Kickstarters, and there are a couple campaigns happening right now that I think some of you might enjoy:
The God Machine by Chandra Free: Chandra's a good friend, and I enjoyed her original (and out-of-print) edition of The God Machine years ago, but now she's not only putting out a new edition, she's restored and revised it, adding new material, improving the old, and making it better than what you might have seen before. Please check it out HERE.
Impossible Jones 2 by Karl Kesel and David Hahn: I've enjoyed Karl's work over the years and worked with David on DC's Robin series years ago. I LOVED the first IMP book they put just a few months ago! SO much fun! And I do love fun comics. You can currently back the new single issue, but you can also add on the full-length first book, which I highly recommend, HERE.
Remember, these are limited-time campaigns, so please check them out soon. I really appreciate you backing my comics, and I'm sure they'll appreciate your support, too. Tell 'em I sent you!
Yours in adventure (and fun!), Andrew

Time for a quick update! Work continues on the Simone & Ajax book. I'm working away at drawing new pages, while Jason Millet is coloring all that I've finished. You can now see the first 6 pages of story 3, "Mosnter Mia," on the Simone & Ajax website by clicking HERE. And while you're there, please sign up for the Simone & Ajax/Andrew Pepoy newsletter at the link on the bottom of each page or by going HERE. I recently sent out my latest newsletter, and while there are over 400 backers for this book there are only 150 people signed up for my newsletter, and I'd like to keep you posted on all that I'm doing, not just this book. Thanks!
Speaking of keeping you posted, there's some big news for the NEXT Simone & Ajax book! Yes, I'm already planning a new book (once this one is done and in your hands, of course), collecting all the 1990's black & white Simone & Ajax stories that have never been collected before. As soon as all is confirmed, I'll let you know this very exciting development.
Speaking of confirming, I know I'm behind on this book, and I'm very sorry for that, but as soon as I have better dates for when the further digital issues and the print edition will be ready, I'll get an update out. Thanks for your patience! I've learned a lot from working on this, my first Kickstarter, that I will use to make the next ones run more smoothy.
Lastly, here's another preview page. I have to careful what I show you, because I don't want to give away anything important to the stories. I'm usually my own worst critic, rarely liking anything I draw, but I'm kind of happy with how the page below came out. Plus, it's a rare shot of Simone without sunglasses!
Thanks again for your support, interest, and patience.
Yours in adventure,
Andrew

Hi, Everyone! I hope you're all getting through this winter okay. We've had more snow here in Chicago in the last couple weeks than I've seen in several winters. Work continues on drawing Simone & Ajax. As I'd mentioned, I'm far behind where I'd like to be, and I'm sorry for that. I hope the extra effort I'm putting into these pages will help you still be happy with the final book, even if getting it to you a bit later than I hoped to. I'll be keeping you posted on progress.
On the plus side, the first colors on "Monster Mia" are now coming in from colorist, Jason Millet, and he's doing his usual great job. You can see the first 2 pages below. I'll soon be posting the first 6 pages to Simone & Ajax's own website, www.simoneandajax.com, so stay tuned for that.
And please keep spreading the word about Simone & Ajax by making your own posts. I'm still taking pre-orders for the book on Indiegogo at https://bit.ly/simoneandajaxgogo. Please share this link.
Lastly, for more frequent posts about Simone & Ajax and whatever else I'm up to, please follow me on social media. My personal pages are:
And Simone & Ajax have their own pages at:

I'll be back soon with another update and more previews of art in progress! Thanks for your support and comments! It's great hearing how much you're looking forward to the book.

Andrew

Hi, Everyone!
Things keep moving for Simone & Ajax here at Spicy Tomato Studios despite me coming down with strep for a 2nd time this winter! So, I lost yet another week of work on the book due to this latest bout, which is not helping get it into your hands, but I'll keep doing the best I can. Not sure with how hermity I've been due to Covid that this keeps happening, but I'll do my best not to make it a strep trilogy.
Speaking of 2nds, you backers should have gotten an email yesterday with the PDF download link for the 2nd digital issue of Simone & Ajax. If you didn't get it, please message me. I hope you like this tale of the Old West!
Update on the original art sales: Jetta pages 2 and 5 are gone, but pages 3 and 4 and the Kitty pin-up and Star Pirate covers are still available. Please message me if interested in adding any of these. Images and prices are in the previous update.
Here's a little sneak peek (below) at some art in progress on "Monster Mia," from issue #3. Hoping to have some colors to show you soon! Until then, enjoy #2, and I'll be back with another update soon!
Thanks as always for your support of Simone & Ajax and me!
Yours in adventure, Andrew
