Simone & Ajax: New Art Rewards Added! 3rd Stretch Goal Met!

Hi, everyone! Please scroll down for some BIG art news! But first... Thanks for being part of this thrilling ride to make the first new Simone & Ajax book in 10 years! We've now met the first THREEStretch Goals! So the book is now a hardcover, now with spot gloss effects on the cover, and all physical backers get a Plague Doctor Ajax print. We're now headed to the next Stretch Goal, and at $20,000 all physical backers will get TWO more full-color Simone & Ajax prints, the previously-shown Pirate one and a Goth/Transylvania one, the rough sketch for it seen here. It's the first weekend of the Simone & Ajax Kickstarter campaign, and thanks to all you backers we're now getting a hardcover and closing in on $14K, inching towards $15,000, where all you physical backers will get the 2nd stretch-goal, a full-color print of Ajax dressed as a Plague Doctor. Simone & Ajax is now HARDCOVER!

Thanks to all you backers we've now hit the first stretch goal! The Simone & Ajax book is now upgraded to HARDCOVER for all physical backers at no added cost to you! I really wanted this to be a hardcover, so thank you so all of you for believing in this book.

Now on to the next stretch goal! I want to get you something extra next, so at $15,000 all physical backers will get a full-color, 5.5 x 8.5 inch print of Plague Doctor Ajax. I'll be drawing the final prints after the book is finished, so I can get the book done and off to the printer sooner, but here's a sketch of what I'm planning.

After that goal I have another upgrade to the book planned, then more prints, stickers, and bookmarks. Digital backers, don't worry, there are also digital extras to be announced soon.

You Made Simone & Ajax Happen!

We did it! 

Yes, you made this happen! In only 9 hours we met and beat the $10,000 goal! This book will happen thanks to everyone who pledged, shared, and believed in me. I am so happy this book will exist! And now it's time to see what more we can do with this campaign, so now for the first two stretch goals:

If we hit $13,000 all physical backers will be upgraded to HARDCOVER, at NO EXTRA COST to you. I envisioned this book as a hardcover, so I hope we can reach this goal.

If we hit $15,000 all physical backers will get a "Plague Doctor Ajax" print. The vintage Plague Doctor costume has made a resurgence in these times, and Ajax loves dressing up. I'll work on a sketch I'll post on the campaign page tomorrow for everyone to check out.

The Keychain to Ajax's Heart! Limited Time!

Today we start what I'm calling our first "Incentive Goal!" I'm asking all you who have already backed the campaign to tell your friends about the fun of Simone & Ajax, and I'm asking all you who have been debating pledging to pledge, because if we get 25 NEW, physical pledges in 2 days, between now and by 12 noon ET on Wednesday September 23rd, then 25 random, physical backers who have backed by that time will get an Ajax keychain!

 This is a 3D-printer prototype, not the final product, but if we can get those 25 NEW, physical pledgers, then we'll polish this up and make them. Backers, please tell the world about the fun of Simone & Ajax and maybe you'll win a keychain. Those who haven't yet pledged, please do a good deed and pledge, knowing you're helping out your fellow backers in winning one of these keychains, as well as yourself. - $17,000: Another production upgrade, adding spot gloss to the cover. This will bring the book to the production quality I wanted it to be. 

-$20,000: Two more prints for all physical backers! A print inspired by the pirate adventure in this book, seen here, and one based on the Transylvania tale. I'll post of sketch of that on the campaign page soon.
