Hi, Everyone!

I got some more commissions out this week and will keep going at them. I'm sorry for the delay, but I hope those of you still waiting will appreciate the extra time I'm giving each piece. I had a request for a peek at some of the commissions I've been doing, so here's a few favorites, most being our pals, Simone & Ajax, but one is of one of my favorite superheroes, the Golden-Age Sandman. Happy New Year from Simone & Ajax! News below!
Yep, things are still swinging along! Yesterday I shipped out another batch of the the commission/book combos, as well as a the last of the keychains that aren't going with a few of the remaining commissions. So some of you will be getting packages in the coming days!
At this point all non-commission level rewards have been sent out for several weeks. The holidays may have slowed things down, but, unless you pledged for a commission, everyone should have gotten their books by now. If you don't have it by Monday, please let me know so I can track it. I had one package bounce back as undeliverable (and have contacted the backer with no reply) and had another package to New York wander around Chicago, hop around Canada, and now has returned to Chicago and hasn't moved in over a week, never getting anywhere near NY. I'm hoping there aren't more like this, but please check in if you haven't seen your book by Monday unless you're waiting on a commission.
As for those of you waiting on book/commission combos, thank you for your patience. I still have some to go, and they're going more slowly than I'd like, but I hope you'll consider it wort the wait once you get the drawings. I'm knocking out and shipping a few at a time until I get to them all very soon. More going out next week.
Lastly, I'll say plans are afoot for something Simone & Ajax in 2023. I can't say it's something new. And I'll crypticly there until I can say more. I'm excited! And I hope you will be, too.

Simone & Ajax: Commission shipping update and dustjacket news

Hi, Everyone!
I'm writing this from my hometown of Holland, Michigan. A family situation has brought me here, which, fortunately, is getting better, but it does mean that I was unable to ship out more of the commission/book combos this week. My apologies to those still waiting. I will resume shipping those next week (after we dig out from the blizzard about to hit this part of the US).
On the good news front, I've been hearing from people around the world who have received their copy of Simone & Ajax. If you haven't seen yours yet, it's on the way! I hope the holidays give you a break to read it. I'd love to hear what you think.
Also on the good news front, the promised DIY dustjacket file (with typo fixed) is now ready. Please check your messages for the download link and instructions. You can see the file below, with crop marks to show you where to trim.

Hi, Everyone!
Good news! I got a call from the fulfillment service, and they finished shipping yesterday! So, for almost all of you, if you haven't received your book yet, you should in the next few days. The only books not shipped are some of the commission level books. I'm knocking those out and shipping them a few at a time, but I still have more to go. I'll keep plugging! And a few of the keychains have yet to be mailed, too.
It's been so exciting to hear from people who have gotten the new Simone & Ajax book! One of my favorite comments comes from Don Flowers, son of the legendary cartoonist, Don Flowers (Glamor Girls), who said: "The art is lovely and the stories are evocative of the most memorable adventures of Scrooge McDuck, Donald and the Nephews... plus a plethora of puns!" Praise doesn't come much higher than that! Thanks, Don!
Some of you have also been posting about the book on social media, which I greatly appreciate. Might explain a few orders that have come in the last few days. Simone & Ajax shipping update! New animation!

Hi, Everyone!
First, a big thank you to everyone who commented, messaged, or emailed me about last week's update about the spine typo. I'm very grateful all the support, and some good jokes about it, you sent. I was pretty angry/sad/frustrated about it, but you made me feel much better about my mistake. I considered all your suggestions and explored how I might make some of them work. In the end I had to decide what would actually work and best keep this moving forward, as you've all waited long enough, and that was a combo of two things. The main thing is that I did decide to go with a small, vinyl sticker on the spine to fix the credit. The other is a dustjacket download. Some of you really wanted a dustjacket, and I liked the idea, too, but there were a variety of reasons that would not work right now, so I'm having a dustjacket designed that you can download and, unless you have a large-format printer at home, can have printed out at 11 x 17 at an OfficeMax/Staples/Kinkos/etc. I hope to have that file ready for you next week. I hope you'll all be happy with the book no matter what.
Speaking of the book, shipping is already well underway. Some of you have even messaged me that you got it or posted about it. The fulfillment service says they should have all theirs shipped this week. On my end, I've now shipped all the Mystery Boxes, special orders, and some of the commission/book rewards. So, as of the end of this week everything should have shipped, except the commissions/books I'm still finishing, as well as some of the stretch-goal Ajax keychains going out to 25 random backers. Mystery Box and commission-level winners will find their keychain in their boxes. Book-only backers will receive theirs in a separate mailing. Also, congratulations to Robert Carlin, who, randomly selected from the mystery box backers, won the original art for the pin-up I drew for the second "Tinseltown" mini-series.
